Leopard Teal

Teal and blue is a beautiful combination. .. although my favorite color is purple, these two are definitely runner ups.

Patchy Boyfriend Jeans

You can pretty much wear leopard with any color... it has become the new black. If you "hate" black shoes like me, then throw on some leopard shoes and youll be good to go! I have shoes that would "match" my burgundy shirt perfectly, but what fun would that be?

But anyway,  I've been in the market for the perfect pair of boyfriend jeans. .. I took a walk down 5th Ave (NYC) and I totally forgot they had a "Joe Fresh" store.  Walk in,  and I lay my eyes on these patchy slouchy jeans.  I get it, they're not for everyone...especially the patch work,  but I love them as they are different from other patchy jeans.  Patches are usually sewn onto the jean to make that effect. The difference with these is that they're bleached right on the jean.. and thus ends my rant about patchy boyfriend jeans. Lol

Dress: Black Halo
Shoes: London Trash
Bag: The Shoe B (its not really a bag although I did double up and use it as one.  Its really a bag that holds your shoes. It was so useful because I wore it as a clutch and by the end of the night I put my shoes in them)

Golden Oreo Cheesecake

Yummy in My Tummy!

You can pretty much google any cheesecake receipe online and itll show you how to do it...Cheesecake Receipe I can't give you direct measurements of what I use because I never really meausre anything when I cook/bake. (I have a good eye)

I substituted graham crackers and used Golden oreos instead.
The KEY to making a perfect cheesecake is using the perfect pan. Make sure to use a 9" springform pan.

Before I took apart the pan, I loosend it up a bit and the remaining cookies I crushed, I sprinkled it around the pan and thats how I got the crumbs around the cheesecake.

  Everything else is purely decorative.

Fall is here. I can feel it in my bones. It's my favorite season though, because I love blazers and cardigans. It's the perfect blend of warm and cool air.

The Love Be-'LO

A refined man wears Polo. Thats what I've learned in all my years growing up.  My dad, as a mature gentleman, indulges in Ralph Lauren.  It speaks with such sophistication when a man can wear a simple button down coupled with a pair of chinos and still look classy.

Plaid in Burgundy

I wont lie.  I don't EVER wear heels, unless it's with a dress. I mean,  for pictures sake, yes, I'll throw on a pair of heels that will go with my outfit, but best believe I have a pair of flats right next to me.

We went to go see The Equalizer, you know, that movie with Denzel. It was so good!  Worth the $25 movie tickets... lol
Any-who, here is what I wore.

Denim on Denim

Was never big on the whole "jean on jean" look.  It just seemed so "bleh."  I've seen so many variations of this look, and to be blunt, it just seemed over-done.  I'm so super picky when it comes to wearing color over color.  Like black.  I HATE wearing "black on black" because it's never the right two shades of black.   I think it looks cleaner if you're wearing the same color ontop of the other when it's uniform or, a blatant mismatch of the same color.  For example, if I where to repeat this outfit but with a different shirt, I would wear it with an exaggerated lighter denim shirt so it can have some contrast.  It won't look like I tried too hard to match the colors.

As much as I doubted, I said to myself, "self, try it. If you don't like it, you can always take it off." Well, I went with it, and I liked it... Obvi.

T-shirt & Jeans Kinda Sunday

Supermarket haul, laundry dash, pre-Monday blues .. I mean, where has the weekend gone? When I was 10, I'd wake up bright an early on a Saturday, get in my fix of pretty much every single cartoon my eyes could watch (i still do this...) and Sunday's I'd sleep in until my mom had to yank me out of bed with a crane.  Fast Forward 20 years... "grown woman bills" and an adult life.  I can barely catch 5 healthy hours of sleep, let alone staying in bed all day.

All hail those lazy Sundays... right?
